Michigan Stadium Renovations

According to a recent article by the Michigan Daily, the Athletic Department is expected to propose major renovations to Michigan Stadium. Plans include new luxury boxes, improved seating, additional restrooms, and extra concession stands.

These improvements are much needed in my opinion. Luxury boxes command high prices and would bring in significant revenues for the athletic department. Further, crowd flow in and out of the stadium is typically slow and temporary porta-potties are frequently needed. However, when making these changes, the athletic department must ensure that they preserve the traditional Big House look and feel. These renovations should help Michigan athletics stay the leaders and best.
